John studied the transportation business from the ground up. Starting on the loading dock earning his way to local delivery driver, supervisor and Senior Logistics Manager. John has enjoyed learning the business hands-on with some of the “Great Pioneers” in the industry such as St. Johnsbury Trucking Company, Humbolt Express, CF Motor Freight, Watkins Motor Lines and Preston Trucking Company.
Today John’s son’s Michael and Nicholas have joined the company and look forward to leading the company’s proud tradition of excellent customer service.

Adams Express Inc. is a 4th generation, family owned and operated, full-service transportation provider, formed to provide its customers with superior transportation services. With over 50 years in the transportation industry, the Adams family has always provided the customer with superior service.
The Adams Family roots began in Auburn, NY with Walter Adams, Sr., in the early 1950s. As a leader in the transportation industry, Walter Adams, Sr., ensured his men always provided superior transportation service. Walter’s sons followed suit and enjoyed lucrative careers with leaders in the LTL industry … Red Star Express Lines and Stott and Davis of Auburn NY.
John Adams followed his forefathers and worked his way up in the Trucking industry. John held many key positions in the industry and in 2008 founded Express One Staffing, a driver staffing company. In 2011 John moved the company to the delivery business and in 2012 formed Adams Express Inc. John Adams, Founder and President of Adams Express Inc., is a dedicated family man and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the transportation/logistics industry.
